About

We are a team of highly skilled professional dog walkers with unique personalities and positive vibes. We are insured and bonded. Our dogs are currently marking territory in and around the West Village and Chelsea. Our mission is to build strong relationships between walkers, owners, and dogs while promoting a happy and healthy lifestyle for everyone!

Our Philosophies

Relationships

Relationships are the foundation of BitterDog Walkers. We value the relationships between dogs, their owners, and their dog walkers above all else. We build relationships by fundamentally caring for everyone that joins our pack and our ecosystem.

Building The Team

When selecting and building our team we look for genuine, caring souls with unique backgrounds and personalities. Everyone gets 50 hours of training regardless of their previous experience to give them the tools to be top notch dog walkers and to ensure they have a solid grasp of the dog’s personalities, routines, and owner’s instructions.

Positive Vibes

We encourage the team to spread positive vibes in the community. This means picking up poops that aren’t ours, helping samaritans whenever there’s an opportunity such as holding a door for someone with a stroller or having a friendly conversation. We try to be mindful of people trying to pass by narrow sidewalks when we have a large pack by moving off to the side. When someone gets mad because we didn’t curb one of our dogs we respond with a smile and an apology, sometimes explaining our end of things but never responding with negative vibes. We understand we are a large part of our neighborhood's ambiance and we want to be pleasant!

Communication

We prioritize clear, quick, direct, and honest communication. We are always just a quick call or text away.

Reliability

Reliability is extremely important to us. We always have a manager checking to ensure everything is going according to our schedule.

Safety

We have safety protocols with dog walking belts, automatic locking carabiners, and backup safety collars which ensures nobody is dropping leashes and dogs aren’t slipping out of their collars.
